Question making a change to the Training Points

    Hello everyone,

I would like to post a suggestion about the training points.

It's highly unfortunate that you need to wait weeks to be able to regain all buyback points. It makes changing the points to test some other stats kinda impossible.

Could it be changed, that there is no buyback time, but you only can get back all TPs only once a day/a week? So someone can distribute them in another way to see how that fits for the character/the fights/everything?

As example for me as dragon I put 600 points into Strength and 600 Points into Tooth & Claw. Now I would have loved to see how putting 600 points in Health or Evasion or Power/Focus would have changed my way of fighting. But I don't want to wait weeks before I could "reset" back to my Strength and Tooth & Claw.

Would you consider this a moment? Thanks!

I have to say I really do not like this idea. Giving people an open means of reallocating training points on a frequent basis kills off any specialisation amongst the playerbase and basically can be abused to get the most out of a character for any given situation.

This idea is great for Blight shard where testing by the playerbase could be enhanced due to quick reallocation of training points, but for the live shards please leave the current system in place. Multiclassing's Achilles' heel is the detraction from specialisation, let's keep the one last element of specialisation available to us please!

No need at all for this on blight. If I want to reallocate points, I just delete my blight character, copy my order character to blight and on the next day I have all TPs back

Oh in that case - awesome! It means the scenario you cited is already covered and therefore there's no need to meddle with how training points are reallocated I love it when a plan comes together!

I do like the idea of making it less time consuming to reallocate points. On my characters I've always stuck to the tried and true dps classes for fear of creating a setup that makes the character unplayable (or hard enough that they might as well be). Maybe there could be another way to discourage casual and constant reassignment of points, such as a point buyback cost? It could scale up depending on how many points you want above your free cap. It would let people experiment without having to wait weeks, and if you made it a static NPC this would also stop people from changing up stats last minute, as they'd then have to trek back and pay more money.
