Dragon wing flap speed.

I know this has been mentioned in the past but I cannot find the thread.
Was wondering with recent tech changes, is it now possible to slow the flap speed down as an Ancient?
They should be slow and lazy like a huge Ancient (like when you flying overloaded)
At the moment it's like a huge bumble bee speed which defies logic

Obviously i'm not asking about traveling speed, just the flapping wing graphics.

I do have to say that with a 137 fly speed, the flap speed does look rather comical! Wouldn't mind the flap speed getting lowered a bit so we don't look like humming birds when we fly that fast

Just drop the .def anywhere in your resources_override (restart game) and see how that looks.

All I did was comment out these lines:

//float moveSpeed = 6.75

Default is 1.0 . Basically the animation was being told to move 6.75 times faster than normal. Now that it's commented out, it'll start being 1.0 (normal speed). Try tweaking it a little if you want. Uncomment out the lines, maybe try 1.1, 1.2, 2.0, etc . See if you guys come up with a pleasurable speed. But as is, you'll probably like this more. I don't see any problems adding it to the regular game install. 6.75 is a bit fast, I have to agree.

Ages ago Terathion made a mod for adjusting the flap speed, in the way that Cegaiel just described it. Except mine is this:

float moveSpeed = 11.5

Which actually makes the wings move slower, so higher = slower for some reason. Don't ask me why.. but it works.
