    Default Old Day/Night Sky

When listing mods I use in Istaria, I was looking through the "New Night Sky" thread by Solitaire and realised that more people than just me are a bit clingy with the old sky:

I like the old night and day skies more, is there a way to get those back?

The night sky was one of the prettiest things about Istaria.
I don't really want to resurrect the old thread or derail it, so I'm making this one so it's clear where to get it.

Yep. Just use only one of the files - "sky_overlay_lightblue.agh" is for the day and "sky_stars_base.agh" is for night. So if you just want to use the original day, delete the file for night and vice versa.

Thanks for picking that out Racktor!
Here's a more detailed installation instruction:

    Installation steps:
    • Close your istaria client
    • Open your istaria folder
On 64-bit systems (en), defaults to: C:\Program Files (x86)\istaria
On 32-bit systems (en), defaults to: C:\Program Files\istaria
    • Create a folder 'resources_override' (may exist already)
    • move into folder, create a 'resources' folder
    • move into folder, create a 'textures_agh' folder
    • move into folder, create a 'objects' folder
    • move into folder, create a 'skies' folder
    • unpack the downloaded zip file
    • move into the 'Original Sky\Original Sky' folder (yes, there are two)
    • copy the two *.agh files into the <your_istaria_folder>\resources_override\resources \textures_agh\objects\skies\
    • start your istaria client
    • hope it works

You don't actually have to create such a folder path. Originally, modders believed you were required to mimic the folder path in the \resources\ root, but you actually don't have to. My installation path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Istaria\resources_override\Original Sky" and it works.

Solitaire mentioned this a while ago here: http://community.istaria.com/forum/s...l=1#post249118 and all of my mods that don't mimic folder paths work just fine.

What Elteria's instructions will let you do, however, is check if there are any conflicts. (For example, if you have that folder path already and you drop my file in there, it could ask you to override another file - which means there'd be a conflict.)

    Also
[*] move into the 'Original Sky\Original Sky' folder (yes, there are two)
Oops, that must've happened when I zipped it. xD

(And I know I told you this already, Elt, but I'm just rewriting it here to prevent confusion. )
