Thread: Labelling plot storages

    Default Labelling plot storages

Small discussion opened in marketplace channel today and we thought, would it be possible to implement a command (or is there already existing one?) to label your silos. Yes it seem you can edit your sector files but they get cleaned during patch. This command would be extremely useful for large plots. (and shops seem to have same names which can make moving resources hard when you have multiple windows open).

I second that and got some ideas:

    - labeling the silos chould be made possible through the plot manager. Select, press a customize button (or right click, or double click, or or or..)
    - selection of a silo should result in the label to appear in the target box (possibly where the description text is located for nodes, creatures and so on)
    - opening the silo's inventory, the silo labek could be shown as the window title

Devs think this is do-able. Won't be too soon, maybe late January or February for consideration.

I'm pretty sure it would work on other things besides silos, Traveller.

Can opened storages inherit their Structure name? When you open Expert blacksmith it would say Expert Blacksmith shop instead of Storage Expert Large Shop. This is useful when moving large quantities of materials from vault to faraway shops. It is very common to move large quantities through few shops (or silos). Curretnly they are all named Storage Expert Large Shop and things can get confusing when you open many of them to move materials.
