It would appear as though there is a glitch of some sort regarding the Free Access service, as I created a character a while back but never really logged in, and now the client seems to think that I have zero character slots but one character, so it's asking me to purchase a subscription. After checking my history under Account Management it shows that the Free Access only lasted for a month (having expired three days ago), even though under Access Types it is advertised to last forever. Is this an issue that I ought to submit a ticket for, or...?

You'll have to renew your free service every month, if I'm not entirely mistaken that is.

You are correct Liseth. They enabled renewing for free access to be able to tell active players. Is what I remember reading.

Goto https://accounts.istaria.com and login. Click Add/Renew Service.

Service Type: Select "Free Access (Free)"
Payment System: Select "Free or Trial Access"
Click Order button

Thank you. It all seems a bit strange to have it done that way, but oh well.

It's done like that so the devs can keep track of how many free players are active vs inactive. Previously, free subs were indefinite - but that means everyone who had a free sub could be either active or not. Schrodinger's players :P Now they have a more reliable player count.
