is this a new install? or old copy patched up? need more info. but first and foremost, try backing up your prefs folder and after that, delete the one in program files x86 / istaria folder. try to log in. but right now the game is down for maintenance. so could be the reason you can't get in??

it was a new install. it turns out the servers were down
