    Client (Features)
    • The game’s particle effect code has been rewritten. This overhaul fixes the bugs where effects would stop working after a while, effects would constantly loop (screenshake etc), and the debug log would fill up with “EMPTY PARTICLE POOL” messages. It’s now safe to turn your spell effects back on!

    • Added a slider to advanced options to set the default NPC Chat font size.
    • Some items have a simple skill requirement to craft (i.e. 300 min, 300 max) meaning the efficiency bar isn’t helpful. In those situations the efficiency bar will now show you how close you are to the required skill instead of either being empty or full.
    • The “Breath remaining” bar when underwater now always automatically centers and appears on top of other windows to prevent losing it.
    • The casting / ability usage bar will move itself back on screen if you accidentally moved it off and make sure it appears on top of other windows.
    • NPC Chat windows will make sure they are on-screen if they were accidentally moved off when greeting an NPC.
    • The trade window now has a tab for your wallet, showing your currencies and their source similar to your wallet.
    • Both your wallet and the trade window can now show your currencies as a grid view, if you prefer to organise your tokens visually.

    • The ability window has received some updates.
      • An additional category has been added, Cosmetic, for non-title cosmetic effects.
      • All quest-given abilities now sort into their proper categories instead of dumping into the 'General' tab, such as Dragon quested abilities and epic abilities such as Hero's Resolve.
      • A checkbox has been added to hide passive abilities.
      • A search function has been added to allow you to search for a specific ability.

    • Fixed several issues with character creation:
      • Fixed the music in character creation not functioning correctly (i.e. not the racial music for the selected race).
      • Fixed strange buzzing sound with effects, such as the birds and steam.
      • Fixed the loading screen disappearing too early before character creation was actually done loading.
      • Fixed the character rotating too fast when using the rotation buttons if the client was experiencing high FPS.
      • Fixed being able to unselect your currently selected race, this is cosmetic issue but is still confusing.
    • Fixed an issue where inactive abilities would appear to load and be active when they really weren’t.

Default Re: Content Update 21.1: Tales of Tazoon

We are currently aware of and investigating the following issues. I will edit this post as they are corrected.

    • School and Bounty quests are not colored correctly in the Quest window.
    • Epic title progress did not transfer properly. (This was not intended!)
    • Dragons who finished the quest Gerix's Quest: Visit the Grand Dragon Cities are not re-attuned to Dralk.

    Fixed:
    • New lairs in Sanctuary are currently not purchaseable.
    • Monsters currently cannot hit you, but can still apply augmentations.
    • You cannot see your augmentations in your augmentation bar, only your selection window. (Though they still apply)
    • Swapping allies quickly causes their abilities to not appear until you unequip and re-equip.
    • Swapping allies quickly causes their abilities to not appear until you unequip and re-equip.
    • Wallet has dumped its contents into the inventory.

    Announcements
    - The lairs in Shelter Pass / Sanctuary have been updated to be buyable, but this requires a restart. We might be able to jumpstart this sooner, and if we do, we will make an announcement as to when they are available.

    - We have pinpointed and rolled back the change that caused the issue of monsters being unable to damage you. This also fixed the issue with augmentations in your personal effects window. Unfortunately, it is related to an issue we corrected last minute - the inability to cause debuffs on monsters. As our other options to mitigate the damage were far more invasive to gameplay and we want to avoid a service interruption, we decided to roll back the debuff fix in turn for allowing combat to flow mostly normally.

We will be investigating and fixing the debuff bug as fast as we can. Thank you for your patience and for playing Istaria.

    Feedback From You

While I have your attention, considering the popularity of new lairs in decorated spots, we have been considering an auction/raffle type system on new additions. To my understanding, in the past, during the server merger, players were given a few tokens to place a bid on a plot. You could put multiple bids in one plot to put all your hope in one plot, or spread them across multiple. Once the raffle/auction was run, a player would be chosen to own the plot. This may be more fair than the 'first come first serve' system due to people in varying timezones and work schedules. We would be interested in your thoughts below if you want to voice any approval, disapproval, or concerns.

    Default Old token system

Quick feedback on the old token system used at the merger as I remember it. Players were given one token per plot they owned. The tokens were “marked” with the specific plot you owned and the amount you paid for it. At the auction after merger, you could bid on a new plot using a token or cash. A token bid automatically beat a cash bid for any plot. I got a nice big plot on Shepard’s Mountain using the token for my 300s Parsinia plot. If you really wanted your old plot back, a token bid for the same plot automatically beat any other token bids for that plot. I believe multiple “I want my old plot back bids” for a given plot, from people who had been on different servers, were going to be resolved manually by lot; but I’m not sure if this ever happened. The ability to buy a plot using tokens was still in the interface at the plot stone during the big plot reclamation in 2008. So sell standard tokens for X gold and determine the winner by lot? Do you get to keep a losing bid or is the token spent?
