    Default "Broken" Tech Comps



    I've run across the following tech comps which do not have the techs they are required for listed:

    Veteran Mummy Wrappings
    Flame Bone Splinters
    Ice Bone Splinters
    Elite Mummy Wrappings (tho no TVI tech comps, not that big of an issue)

    What else have you found?

    However, I've never seen or heard of a tech that even uses these. So they may just be useless =/.

    Weaker, Lesser, Greater ghost vapors
    Mighty mummy wrappings
    Lesser and Weaker skeleton skulls

    A lot of t1 stuff is just broken... Sand golem frags list use for Blacksmith techs I - IV etc..


    Steel frags are still in game and list Kicker Spells, Spiderling Silk still in game for spell Fulgurate II, and wolf fangs list essence harvesting 1 - 3, logging 1- 3.

    Well just for starters, Veteran Mummy Wrappings, Naghuk Ogre Jawbones, and Blood Skulk Fins do not have any descriptions because they aren't used for any techs. The others need looking at tho.

    flame bone splinters and ice bone splinters are used in spell techs. the others i'm not sure about.

    Veteran Ghost Vapors lists Heal Recycle V.

    many of the t6 comps do not list what they are applicable too..

    -elite zombie fingers
    -elite mummy wrappings
    -elite ghost vapors

    a couple other elite ones as well I cant remember off the top of my head.

    That could be on purpose, to prevent people from stockpiling the comps to the tier VI gear they want...Then again, maybe I am giving AE too much credit [:P]

    heheh - well if you're already stockpiling stuff at your Tier/Level and above - that's not going to change nothing.

    I've been stockpiling tech resources for forever, and NOW I can see that they are mostly for stuff far below me - but I saved'em anyway cuz I "never knew..." :).

    Actually I wouljd think they'd want you to know what your Tier V/VI stuff is good for because then the techs you don't need can get out circulating in the community (I would hope you woudln't just....delete them? :)).

    instead of doing what I've been doing and hoarding them all in the vault "just in case.." lol.

    Either way - Loving it! But yea, I've got some "not used vapors" or something from premerge that don't have anything describing what they may or may not be used for. I have no clue if they are worth anything....other than I've had them forever :).

    Hah... talk about stock piling, I still have about 100 zombie fingers from back when deer used to drop them ;)

    As for the bone splinters, I am sure some crafting techs use those as well, as I just had some Stoneworking or sculpting teched items that used those.

    I doubt it, AE released which tech comps would be tier VI back when they entered all tier V and VI techs into the database. They were hosted by various people in Excel format, dunno if anybody's still hosting it.

    actually, I don't believe the tier VI comps were listed in the sheet. They only listed 4 shining essence orbs. I'll double check when I get home, I still have the file.

    Another thing I noticed, they added the tech comps to most techs, but still have neglected to add the description to the actual tech.

    Dunno you may have gotten an editted version.

    I know the orginial version that Dangit posted on tazcom that we had to cut and paste into excel had the t6 tech comps listed. As that's where I got mine, and it lists the t6 stuff.

    Cobalt Golem Fragment - displaying 'xxx/yyyKicker: X'
    Lesser Zombie Fingers - displaying different tiered uses
    Ice Beetle Carapace - displaying different tiered uses and have 'Blacksmith: X' instead of 'Statistic/Craft/Adventure: X'
