    Default Radeon and Sony Notebook

I have a Sony Vaio GRX-670, which has a Radeon 7500 video card in it. I can't play the game because sony's drivers for this card are way outdated. When I load up about 5 seconds after my character and his surroundings show up, the music begins to skip and about 3 seconds later it crashes to desktop. I can't just install the newest drivers from the ati site because they won't work with my laptop. Anyone have any suggestions?

Ati mobility drivers generally suck. And some laptop vendors are slow to keep drivers updated (which is critical when it comes to ATI drivers.)

Try theseIBMprovided drivers for Radeon mobility.
    they are v8.062.2-041023m-019104C for win2k_xp

If your laptop came with an OS older than win2k, you really should just not try playing Hz on it.

IBM's NT4 driver v7.78.5-040308a-014217Ein case thats what you are running: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-41904

    And win98 driver v7.96.9.1-040513a-015548E

(So that at least you can upgrade the driver in any event)

Also, make sure you are running Directx 9.0c as well. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=enor http://download.microsoft.com/downlo..._9c_redist.exe

p.s. let us know if these drivers worked
