Hahaha... Appropriate rewards have NEVER been a strong suit in this game...
How about 500c for the Tazoon, port all over creation because the Gnomes are revolting quest? Or 3 Soothing III potions for running all over the island to unstone the mysterious race? Granted the Stone People quest actually was cool, and had a story purpose, but 3 potions and a thank you did not compensate for the time and danger involved if you didn't ask around for where you were supposed to go. (Dryad island and Augh mines being particularly hazardous).

Well, having completed the Stone people quest was a pre-requisite for getting Brienaires Engagement Ring, after also doing the Kiruu Anathame quest during the Nazerdon Event.

So you never know what seemingly worthless quest will get taken out of the game, only to become a requirement for a neato reward later on. :)
