I just can't keep hyping and pushing and coordinating for more than the 3 weeks or so I allotted. It's exhausting! And snowballing, too. The reason Kwinn is withdrawing is he has donated a whole lot of good things as prizes, including more cash. And an anonymous donor has promised an amazingly spiff prize. I will edit the top post tomorrow once I've slept a bit, to reflect the increased prizes.

I am the Clan Master of Yggdrasil and I would like to nominate our Clan plot to your fine contest.

The plot is named Clan of Yggdrasil. It is in Heather, location 22950 / 25960. It is located in the shadow of Heather's Hill, in a quiet corner. It is a beautiful green plot, surrounded by trees (Heh! I'm a Satyr after all). In front of our Guildhouse, you'll see a representation of the Yggdrasil (we call it mini-Yggdrasil), as the true Tree is located somewhere near Dalimond.

It is not completed yet, but is still "fully designed" for your judgement.

It is just north of the landing Pad in Heather. Very useful for the resources surrounding the area. It also has a Human Vault for all to use.

Thank you, Nellie, for the wonderful screenies. I still need to go look for myself but these are a great reference and handily labeled, unlike the shots I've taken myself thus far.

Keep on nominating, everyone. The prize pool has grown hugely (see edited top post for details, I will edit it right after posting this). We have about one nomination per category now, and need twice that to make it an actual judging rather than a simple assignment of prizes.

I repeat, you can nominate more than one plot and you do not have to be the owner or in any way associated with the owner. Construction does not have to be complete, though scaffolding may reduce the wow factor *grin*. Given two identical lots, one complete, one not quite, the complete one would win. But I've yet to see two identical lots.

All three of these are in Carmo and you can get to Carmo by using the Guild gate at Bristugo and picking as a destination either Papa or Tavu. From Papa take the road south out of town (which is the coast road) and from Tavu take the road east until it intersects with the coast road by the sea and then head north. You'll see the boys' Beach House on your right as you enter Carmo from Tavu and the other two plots are near the center of the village, next to the Guildhouse and Village Park. Enjoy the sand & surf while you're there and if you'd like to use the Chessboard plaza just ask Herman if it's available (just in case someone else has scheduled to use it)!! [ip]

Hiya! Thank You Elders for giving me a chance to share my little corner of Istaria. Your efforts are cherished and appreciated.

*Deep Breath and Smiles*
Okie, well, let me introduce myself, I am Gengel the Dryad, born after the Cataclysmic Merge. You may have seen me darting here and there, especially in Kirasanct where my trainer keeps me very busy. Some day, this poorly dressed sot will work for me! But, if I may, let me tell of the threads that have been woven into my life. This may help you understand how I feel about my little plot.

History
*Tilts head to the right, looks a bit down and smiles*
As I reminisce, my early days were quite chaotic. The Merge had the world in an upheaval. My Kind had just returned to this plane. The *pauses* Withered Aegis *swallows* were once again tainting our world. And I had so many things to learn!

I have had many found memories of the Elders coming to my aide. I so do miss them ? Erorgot and Blackavar were so dear to me *choked up*. And I can not forget the constant encouragement from my Trainers ? ?Gengel go get that, Gengel go make that?. There unwavering direction have taught me much over the seasons. But nothing prepared me as what happened one day in the Sslanis Jungle.

*Smiles, wings beat a bitter quicker*
Questing one day, many seasons ago, I stumbled across an unexpected treasure!! Ferocious Gruoks were everywhere!!! But such a find could not be left ? especially with big bright eyes and a warm smile! I found a baby gnome! In retrospect, being so young myself, I should have saved myself and let the circle of life once again run its course. But of course, I could not leave such a young one alone. My heart was ready to burst at such a sight. My wings felt as strong as 10 and I dashed to safe the young-one.

* Sits down, gathers thoughts*
You may ask, ?Gengel, what is a Dryad going to do with a baby gnome?? Raise him of course Silly! I took this little-one under my wing as my own and called him Zaximus and we became a family. But then a cold reality struck me like the blight. This place was not safe! Gruoks are nasties are everywhere! How am I going to raise him?

We, our little family, ventured for the first time to the bustling town of Parsinia. So much activity! So many people! It was so overwhelming for us. We continued north to a quiet village in North Parsinia. I turned to my son and said: ?Zaximus, here we will build us a home where we will always feel safe?. The gentle breeze caressed our tired bodies as we took stake in our shady plot.

Building was quite an adventure for two such young ones. *giggles* We learned the various trades and built us a small home. *See Photo*. We labored and laughed hard on our adventures. Zaximus surprised me one day by planting many trees ? understanding my Dryad nature and how much I love the Flora. Eventually we completed our home, when the Winter Festival arrived.

I have always been wary of the Gruok in the jungle. So we decided to invite the Magical Men of the Frozen White to guard our home. They are forever vigilant under the cool shade of our garden. At night, you may catch the White Sentinels wandering to the shore to enliven their essence. *See Photo*

So, patient Listener, you may ask: ?Gengel, why such a tale to simply show your home?? Well first, all are welcome to stop by for a refreshing nap on their travels. The meandering breeze is more invigorating than any Heal Incantation. And please, help yourself to one of the Winter Festival gifts. The presents are meant to make your trip a bit more pleasant.

But the Garden is far more than a home to me. It reminds so much of my dear son Zaximus. *Swallows* You see, I lost my son to the War-ing tribes on another world. This plot is all I have to remind me of him. I often sit inside, and wonder, ?Is he OK? Can Zaximus return from another plane? Much like the Dryads?? But alas, it has been a long time and I fear the worse. All I have are these memories and the fine times we have had.*Photo*

I would like to enter my little corner of our world into the contest, mostly because it has had all the work done on it by myself.

When I started this bit of land I looked at the rest of the community, and realized that 90% of the structures are incomplete, so it is based around a quick transit back, which the shrine in the guildhouse allows, and storage of building materials. I admit the plot isn't done yet, but I think it looks nice even with the unfinished silos.

The shrine is also right next to the Sand Ogre beach so that younger adventurers have a close place to bind to in case the unfortunant happens and they are forced to recall without having to spend5 minutes running to get back to training thier skills.

All in all for it being only 23 meters by 23 meters I believe I managed to add a bit of beauty to Istaria.

I would like to nominate the plot owned by Goibhnie, on which rests the guildhall of Strata. It is a spectacular example of the combination of utility and aesthetics. A path leads between two pillars that stand in front of the guildhall itself. The courtyard of the hall is a garden-like area, complete with a fountain and decorative pillars of its own. Amidst the trees, boulders, and hedges of the rest of the plot stand a vault, a smaller guild house, seven journeyman shops, an expert shop, and a series of silos, eight of which have been completed as of today. The silos, however, don't stand altogether. On the contrary, many are spread about the plot, breaking up their dull featureless faces and making the structures a bit easier on the eyes. The eastern edge of the plot looks out over the sea, while the western edge borders a small ravine and offers a spectacular view of the high mountains on the other side.
And where is this plot, you might ask? A traveler seeking this destination needs only to make theirway to Bristugo, take the portal to Saritova Isle to the destination of Sem, and turn north. Its coordinates are 29025/15903. The grounds are always open to the public, and it is an excellent place for the weary traveler to rest.

I would like to ask that my plot be considered for this contest. Since there are no plots available on the lovely Dryad Island, Mia's Edge is where I dwell. My "Sanctuary" is nestled in the hillside and faces the sea, which gives it a calming, peaceful feel for me. As an avid crafter,I need plenty of shops and unsightly storage silos, but I worked very hard to balance them with lovely trees and flowing fountains.My favorite feature is the Boulevard, a stone pathway dotted with trees that cheers up me up every time I walk down it. (Partially becausea dear friend of mine designed it, and partially because I just think it looks lovely). My whole plot reminds me everytime I am there of all my wonderful friends that helped me to build it, and whom I love to share it with. Any and all in Istaria are welcome tostop by for a visit, though if you see me there, be prepared to be hugged. :)

Well yes I know Levity said to suggest someone else, but I would like to talk about my plot which I have worked hard at it.

To understand the plot and why it's laid out like that you need to know a bit about Nalrach. Nal's is a spellcrafter at heart and always ready to help make spell for the needee. Never asking for fee (for standard spell), but accepting donation in money or comps. To exercise is craft he needed space to store the shards & orbs. He also needed place to store the various components his craft required him to have. Nal's is a proud member of the Sslanis race and as such dream of been able to live in harmony with the nature. Following his friend to the far reach of the land he end up having to make a little peacefull land for himself on the Brandon Shelf.
