Thread: XP Tip for applying construction.

  1. #1

Default XP Tip for applying construction.

Probably old news to the pros, but for the new folks helping out on construction, listen.

Application bases ALL of your XP on CURRENT. And it reduces your XP down to 0 as you approach 200 skill above optimal. MOST crafting is based on 'base' skill. Making the blocks/bolts/timbers/spheres is based on 'base' skill. Not application though.

So take off your jewelry and/or clothing and equip the appropriate tier tool before applying to make sure that you are at the LOWEST possible skill and still 2:1 (optimal).

For example, a load of Obsidian Keystones with jewelry (18 units), I get 1,200xp (hahaha). Without jewelry, I get 17,000 xp. etc... which kinda sucks when I forget to take it off, which I do regularly, but oh well.

    :D Thanks!

On the plus side, it allows construction workers to at least get XP for applying all even level materials by using lower tier tools! It really adds up over time for the repetitive stuff.

It's really a shame that it's such a narrow range for XP (200 skill) and a HARD cutoff.

in my opintion apply xp is buged. it goes for current skill and not for base like in all other stuff. it is a littel mad that you can gain 0 xp on t6 units with max gear in level 100.

I think so too, but it's been reported, and they said they'd look at it. Who knows if/when it will be fixed, so I thought I'd spread the word and help some folks out.

Thanks for this advice! It will really come in handy. All these plots to build but not wanting to do it because of no xp for somethings...

If that's the case, that is indeed a bug. I'll fix it. All crafting experience should be based on "base" stats.

It is that way. I managed it to get 0 xp for radiant spheres becasue i am too highin skill. As you try to get max skill on the source the spheres already turn to 0.

Was coming back to the game and perusing the forums as a mental reminder. Has this now been fixed?
