tells me to search north, east, south and west tip of the island...
no map available - so I figure I go for a walk on the "beach"...
been around the island two times now and have only gotten two updates:
one near balit himself and one near the landing pad...
I even ran underwater to the small island at the western(?) tip, but no update

if u do not want to give away the coordinates, at least give me a hint please

Talk to Balit again. He will give you some hints.

Yeah, I ran over the ENTIRE island. Turns out the quest checklists are not very accurate. Like the 'eastern' TIP is nowhere NEAR the tip. It's the center of the island. But you can talk to him and he'll give you some good landmarks.

GOD I NEED TO DO THAT QUEST... but it always slips my mind... I need to be a NPCs friend... its completion must consume my life.

Reminder to dragons: Balit's signet ring now carries a hoard value of 75000. If you are high enough level, you can even solo the quest up to the point where you receive the ring, as it is before you need to scramble for some biped alchemist junk.

That sounded awfuly racist[:S]. But then again it might only sound that way because you're a dragon, some bi-peds don't like getting help from crafters either, I'd rather get a tag for something I did, not having others help me.
