How do I turn my chat logs back on?

I turned them off a long time ago, to save a hair of performance... I want them back now though, and I find my self perplexed. What exactly do I need to set to true to make these work? I eventualy went into my preferences and flipped everything related to logs to "true" but still nothing...

The most straightforward way to do this is to go into the options in-game, and choose to restore defaults. From there you will need to redo your settings as appropriate.
