    Re: James Camerons Avatar

I like the idea of 3dtv, but I think I'll be waiting until the technology has stabilised... the exception is I may try and get a new usb I/R emitter for my older glasses, since the current vga one...

    Re: James Camerons Avatar

Huh! Learn something new every day! I assumed Cameron had done the first as Aliens fits so well after Alien in terms of how the films work out.

I like the idea of 3dtv, but I'll be waiting for...

    Re: James Camerons Avatar

Assuming you mean Avatar... well you're not the first and not the last to find fault with it. My folks like Dances with Wolves, but they won't watch Avatar. Even though I think it's a great film,...

    Re: James Camerons Avatar

Now you mention it I did notice that bit with the dear, but I just assumed I'd missed it somehow in the cinema. So what we need is an ultra-fat-frame version with the wideness as well as the IMAX...

    Re: James Camerons Avatar

Finally went to see How to Train your Dragon in 3d this morning at the cinema, and what can I say it was a fantastic film. Definitely a keeper when that's out on disk.

    I totally digged the...

    Re: James Camerons Avatar

hmm... the first Matrix movie was incredible to watch, but it went downhill after that depending on who you ask. The second was a disappointment.

I like the idea of a whole load of time added to...

    Re: James Camerons Avatar

Aye I also saw the movie three times at the cinema, and can spot no difference in the bluray. Both 2hrs 42 mins. It doesn't surprise me at all to hear there will be an 'extended cut', given I just...

    Re: James Camerons Avatar

I finally got out and saw Lovely Bones, and I did like it. From what you say I might grab the book, but I know me fairly well and I'll probably forget lol. I can't say how much Jackson has faffed...

LOL... yeah just let it out Epion. :D

I see where you're coming from, although I don't think this thread has gone anywhere near the level of 'discussion' I've seen on some alternative sites.

    Re: James Camerons Avatar

You'll love this... although I can't help but think this is a bit cheesy:

China renames 'Avatar' mountain in honour of film

I see the reasoning, but renaming a mountain?

    As for the naming...

Hey Cobal great to see you!

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I think they smell a cash cow on the way so have upped the price now that demand has presumably gone up or they predict it will....

Aye... that has the potential to be a 20 page forum rant all in itself. We're a race that has become so obsessed with sueing and health & safety I fear there will be no more Great achievements made....

    Re: James Camerons Avatar

I hope so. I'd like to see Avatar beat Titanic with a big stinky old fish and claim the podium. Man that movie drives me nuts (personally). I'd be more sad about Star Wars being knocked off number...

Unfortunately I have, but I was loath to put any kind of race commenting in my post, and I've seen all the films you mention above.

    James Camerons Avatar

I'm sure you've heard of it already. James Cameron's new movie that seems to mix Vietnam, Aliens, Apocalypto and Scawny Beaver into a great (almost) three hours of entertainment.

    Just saw it...
