Getting rid of unwanted schools

I was playing around when I was a warrior and accidently got a couple of schools I really didn't want. I found a NPC somewhere near Dalimond I think that removes these unwanted schools, but he is on a piece of land out in the water and I can't get to him without drowning. Has anyone visited him yet and how did you get to him without drowning? Thanks.

Yes, I've visited him. Keep on the rocks and look around. There is an area where it is shallower to reach him. The direct route of running in a straight line doesn't work.
