This character's name was Bloodred. She was a black dragon the size of a horse that I played in a Free-form IRC channel called #BlkDragon*Inn. That was good times.

Digitgrade legs are fun, and they usually even follow RL anatomical principles. For instance, the ball of the paw, where most of the weight is centered, is usually positioned directly below the knee (if the character were standing up straight), just as it is on plantigrade legs.

Some of my submissions are pieces of Digipen homework, which are weird. Some were just fast doodles.

Great work Vidken! I really like the glider one myself, but as a gliding nut I'm of course biased .

Thanks! I'm a gliding nut too. I just haven't been up since the mid-nineties.

When I think of dragons, the first thing that comes to mind is flight and the disciplines one would go through to become adept in the air. They'd figure out thermals, ridge lift and wave lift out so they can go higher and further with less endurance drain. I'd imagine the elite fliers are capable of spending months in the air without touching the ground, catnapping and preying on avian food sources. In a universe like this, they'd usually be more wyverns and lightweight spellcasters than the brawny types.

Namborth I like your works too! I used my last vacation to make these in DAZ Studio. They are actually now posible charactors that I can put in pretty much any scene I like. Going to make myself a banner eventually with the top one using DAZ Studio and Bryce. There is actually a free version of the applications on that site.
