    Default Journeyman Shops-Journey man resources?

    If i am correct one would assume journeyman resources to be T3+T4?

    So doesnt it seem silly for Journeyman shops to need T4+T2 construction instead of T4+T3?

    My GF explained to me how it was explained to her. It actually makes sense now.

    It seems it has been mentioned that salvaging a prior building will yield resources of the higher tier (to be usable on new building) but will lose resources of the lower tier. This means:

    When destroying a beginner shop you'll lose all tier 1 resources but keep the tier 2 resources to add to the journeyman shop (with tier 4 resources). When salvaging a journeyman shop we'll lose the tier 2 resources, but will keep the tier 4 resources to add to tier 6 resources for the expert shops.

    I guess silos are done the normal way though since silos are available for all tiers but shops only 1 per 2 tiers.

    There is one flaw in that theory, expert shops dont use Tier 4, they use Tier 5 and 6 resources to be built.

    The main point here is that it seems Tier 3 is being ignored as far as shops go, which i dont think shouldwork like that.

    Yes it is odd that t3 stuff is excluded for shops, but other structures like stores require it. It's like how silos don't need weaving or essence, not every resource can be used on every structure. Here's another tidbit of oddity, fountains require flax bolts. So either they're really paper mache fountains or else this is AE's version of a "fantasy" environment, as in no basis in reality. =)

    This is probably an old thread....but expert shops use t4 and t6....I just checked a min ago. The upgrading buildings theory is correct and that's what I figured too when I first saw it. It only seems to make the most sense.

    hmm strange i thought they were T5+T6, oh well i stand corrected....but still even if the upgrading theory is correct (not saying its not), it still means T3 would never get used on shops...and maybe T5 also, depends on if the bring out more shops.
