Thread: Collision detection for characters...

  1. #1

    Default Collision detection for characters...

I think there should be collision detection for characters. This would serve a huge purpose, in the fact that when a dragon lands on another character, you would hear them and see them die. Anyone agree! :)

Hm, maybe not, gotta pass time someway...

A little bit of humor is good. And if they gave dragons the ability to rez, they could even rez the little gnomes after they squashed em.

Ok... I'll go for it, but only if we get to see the dragons scream and plummet out of the sky everytime they hit an invisible red wall. [6]

If they added collision detection, there would be a major biped uprising against dragons blocking the path in popular locations. It bad enough trying to see around their lard a**es and having to wade through them blind. If they physically blocked our paths there would be dragon roasting spits in the center of every town to deal with those adults unwise enough not to use their smaller form when appropriate.

I think a form of Collision Detection would be GREAT for players and mobs alike! It would be nice to have walls that kept things out...Or in..[;)]

Imagine the dynamic THAT would bring to the table![:D]

Well, while we're at it. Why not include combat from the air? Hmm? So then all us dragons who think the bi-peds are being obnoxious always griping about how big we are can just raze and burn the offending bi-ped villages from the sky, as is only good and proper. [:P]

*grumbles about someone trying to roast dragons on spits* I'll roast you!! You'll just see!! *grumble, grumble* Gnomes! *grumble* [:D]

All i can truly ask for is a bit of courtesy please dont go afk in front of a doorway or in the middle of a small town its hard to see where you are going pearchingon a port in orout also isnt a good idea just be kind to one another please
Given enough time and the proper temperament anything doable in game is possible

And I was responding in a light-hearted humorous way. Um, I think....

*sigh* I hate it when underlying frustration turns perfectly good satire into bitter cynicism. I've really got no problems with dragons, but the adults are rather big, really really big.

Try for mobs first...hate it when they attack from INSIDE the ground.

I sure read it as a lighthearted joke, Ikfel. 'course, been married to you long enough I know what tone of voice you're using :).

But yes, he certainly was joking, Spellbound.

My main concern re collision detection is the griefing of deliberately blocking someone's path. Maybe if it could be toggled .. so you could *choose* to ghost through if needed .. ?
