1/29/2007: Chaos is having issues again

Tried logging in this morning. Took nearly 15 minutes and when I finally got in, I couldn't connect to any channels and couldn't interact with anything in-world.

Tried again and finally got it working after 10 minutes, but lag was bad (loot lag, crafting lag, etc.)

My second account on my laptop never could get in completely. It would reach the spot where I could see guild chat on the laptop, but I couldn't chat back. I could see the laptop character on my desktop's guild list, but others in the guild could not.

Others on the server were reporting similar problems.

Maybe time for a reboot?

Time to stop testing Unitas on other server's resources :-P

I tried to log in, all I got was a cloud like screen. Trying again.

Logging in took a bit, but finally got in without the clouds. Login does take quite a bit of time. ;(

Yes it took a *long* time. Out of a total of 5 login attempts, 2 did not get in at all; 2 got in but could join no chat channels and could do nothing, one got in normally.

3rd attempt logged in alot faster (about 10 mins), but still can't talk or interract with things like portals, cast spells. :-(

Just logged in on 2 different comps. Login seems normal time , no lag atm.

REALLY slow logging in right now, (>5 minutes). Did someone bump off the "turbo" switch?

Ok, last night during prime time there were no problems at all.

This morning (same time as yesterday) I'm getting the same problems. Is there something running at this time of morning?

When its not primetime, they use the server-resources to test Unitas :-P

unless they havent changed anything Blight was actually a physical part of both order and chaos in both hardware and code.

Given that chaos is the most populace of the two servers it does make some sense that this could be the issue.

I think they introduced Luca's hamsters to Chaos, and we unity players all know what it means when Luca's hamsters go on strike

They first refuse to run their wheels, then if it takes too long they start eating their wheels, which is causing even more problems, sure the automatic feeding system makes them happy for a short moment getting them back shortly but they quickly get fedup again.
