Ok so I log on and there's the new Istaria window, showing anorexic female dryads with breast implants? For the love of Istaria, who thought that up? Perhaps it is because I am not a male, but really, does that represent our game? Please tell me it ain't so! I am really disappointed.

I think it was because everyone was complaining that it was just a SS.... they changed it to something more EQ2-ish. Again, where's the war?

In an effort to keep the threads on the topic of new logo/loading images in one place for the developers to follow, I've merged the other two into this one.

Thanks for understanding that it's easier for us to follow one thread and get an overall picture from it (no pun intended) than multiple threads.

I miss the fact that while it was a "boring old rectangle", originally it had twinkling stars, moving vines, and the dragon's eyes flashed.

Oh good...it really was like that and I wasn't just misremembering things. (Yes, I've spent nearly the entire time since I've been back wondering if I just imagined the flashing eyes and moving vines.)

I didn't particularly care for the new logo at first sight. It has a nice sort of quiet elegance to it, but... To me, it doesn't resemble anything of the game I've been playing for the past...er, however long it's been since I came back. Of course, lately, it doesn't feel like I've been playing that game anyway.

Summary: I want the old logo and name back.

My first response was that it's a neagle; then gryphon, then phoenix. Belatedly I realize that isn't it a LOT like the US Post Office eagle? Or is my imagination off the leash again?

havign the glowing eyes and moving vines back would make me uncharacteristicly cheerful. In any event that I get that happy watch for pigs flying and warm places to get mighty hot. happy isnt my thing

The overdone boobs seems to be a fairly common theme in Istaria anyway - I think my fairly flatchested Saris is one of the few out there!

Image and I were chatting, she says something to the effect of "First time mom sees you boot the game and these boobs flash up on the screen, 'ooooh no you don't mister!" and uninstalls the game LOL.

I usually have other windows open while logging in, so did not realize what Ming was talking about before today. I would prefer to see the plain new logo to the dryads hefting bosoms at us.

Better would be a picture of several of the races doing something together, perhaps fighting off the Withered Aegis? Just my two coppers' worth.

I pray that my wife will never see the current load screen. If she does, I'm afraid that I'll have to stop playing Horizons/Istaria for good. She doesn't like the games with lots of scantily clad females. If she sees that screen, I'll never convince her that it's not like that in the game.
