Well, in France we've been in the same situation last year. None of the candidates were considered as satisfying by a large number of people. We had to vote anyway. We had to choose between a woman that seemed unaware of the current state of our country, and a man whose only desire was to get more power (you may have heard of M. Sarkozy). I voted for the one who was the less dangerous in my opinion. Unfortunatly, the most charismatic one passed. And now, we're deep in crap, if I may say :/

There was a Canadian (radiohost or comic, or he was both, not sure) who called Palin on the phone, speaking with a heavy french accent pretending he was Sarkozy, rather funny Google Sarkozy Palin for more details.
