Patcher freezes (?), can't get ingame

Hey everyone!

After the maintenance yesterday (Thursday, 23rd July) I can't seem to get back ingame. I believe the shards are back up by now or am I wrong?

My patcher seems to totally stop working at a certain step.
This happens during downloading the file "istaria.exe.auc" and the patcher says:
Data downloaded: 0/6356 KB. Nothing happens after that, the pacher stays stuck at that level of process.

No matter how long you wait, the downloading won't proceed.

Does anyone know the problem or has an idea how to solve this? Or should I file a ticket?

It stops at 13/6400 KB and 100% cpu-usage...

Just to try it out, I waited 4 minutes, but no change.

Same here got the same problem, when tryed to logg in this morning stopped on the file istaria.exe.auc downloaded: 0/6356 KB, tryed even rebooting computer, same thing with that file

it is patcher bug , until devs fix it I recommend using the java patcher I gived link earlier, less stress and nerves.

I used the Java patcher and got in . Only lost all the preferences, so I logged out and retried the normal launcher and that one now worked fine. Back in game

After retrying the normal launcher you preferences were back again too?

I can get ingame with that Java launcher now (thanks for the link!) even though the patching took ages (= several hours).

The normal launcher still won't work for me, same problem as this morning =/

Guess the Java launcher will work for now though I'd prefer the normal launcher after all.

EDIT:
The normal launcher works for me now with checking the "Bypass the patching progress" option. Still having problems with the patching though.

On the launcher go into patcher options and tick the bottom box (bypass patcher). Try logging in that way

I used the java patcher and the patching was succesful.
But the game wont start.
So I used the normal patcher (with the bypass function checked) and the game
started!

Same here. Always sticks at "0/6356 KB Data Downloaded" on "istaria.exe.auc". Every single time. Tried Blight, Tried Order, Tried Chaos - same result.

Don't know what you did to this this, Virtrium, but I can't log in normally. Next thing I'm doing is using the SKIP PATCHING option, since patching seems to be all screwed up. GG Virtrium.

EDIT: Yup, only way I can get in is skipping patching entirely.

Until the bug in the patcher which is causing the fun we are having is fixed this is okay, is less hassle, and works fine.

I get auth server error when bypassing the patching

Had same problem. Got stuck while downloading the needed files.
Aborted the launcher, then proceded to use the old method of log in:
Website.

Patching went like a dream, game started right away.
So basically the "no longer supported" way still works best when this problem occurs. At least for me.

I use the Launcher for regular log in after that.
