Take your time and get to know some people before jumping into a guild, better than taking the first invite you get and then finding you don't get along with your guildmates.

New Player Assistance channel is always a good place to meet people and, unless they're invis, a quick /who <name> will tell you their guild if you really want to know.

Many guilds, such as Semper Fidelis (my guild), have channels you can join to chat and get acquainted so you could check those out too.
