Character creation was fine yesterday. Today, it seems to hate me, but patching it and trying other shards doesn't work either.

Just to confirm, you're not at the maximum number of characters for your subscription level, are you?
If not, I'd suggest filing a ticket at https://support.istaria.com

I'm at 3 character slots and only used one. I'll try for the ticket then.
