Day IV - Castle II - Burg Sooneck - At the Rhine
This castle is laying at the Rhine, the most famous river in germany. Long parts of the Rhine are very romantic, and you have a castle all 3-5 kilometers. Most of these castles are very old and where build between 1100-1600. With the invetion of canons the old castles got useless, some of them got used as a palace, most of them became ruins and where used as a stone quarry.

In a period around 1870-1895 in germany we remembered the old times of the knights, of the 'good' old time of honour, the neo romantic period was born. Rich industrials and nobleman begun to buy the old castles and rebuild them in a romantic manner. Except of one castle and some ruins at the Rhine that kept their origin, most of the castles got a neo romantic dress on their old core. The very famous 'Schloss Neuschwanstein' was build in this period too. On the following pictures you will see loads of arrow slits and battlement parapets that are useless for war and fight, but nice to view. The large main building and the castle keep are from the middle age (this castle is firstly mentioned 1273).

And all the work you put in that. You are best!*hugs*

We all had a great, lighthearted time.
Thank you all for joining-and forgiving me, that some of the questline have been a bit uhhm-hard

The last pic with the moon:
We found 2 wooden benches and a wooden table there in the cherry-tree grove, watching the stars, the fallen stars and incoming airplanes far above.
And we died laughing about our efforts to translate the German word
"Einflugschneise" in 4 different languages. Cause this is what we are:
    People from 4 different contries.
    Istaria without frontiers
    this
Flame will add some nice snapshots, he and Vasi did .
    Thanks again to you all!
