Upper limit of plot items?

I recently discovered this sidenote

They can't be unlimited because there is still an upper limit to how many items per plot/community the Community Managers can handle, but I've looked at the items introduced last summer and raised the limit to 5 on those that didn't have it there already.

and became a little worried, since I currently have around 160 items built on my plot and I am planning to go well beyond 500 or 600 when it will be finished sometime. Looking at Lov's great plot I am optimistic that the upper limit is still far away, but may I ask the powers about the exact maximum number of plot items allowed? It would be a pity to tear things down again because I hit the cap before completing everything that I have in mind.
