Thread: Altimeter and pitch indicator for flying dragons.

Default Altimeter and pitch indicator for flying dragons.

Altimeter and pitch indicator for flying dragons.
Pitch indicator would help for efficient flying, by letting a dragon know when it's parallel to the ground.
Altimeter would mostly just be neat, and addable(maybe) to the the current co-ord listings in the compass.

They would just need to publish height coord. Altimeter? I'd say eye ball it based upon the height. Pitch would be nice though, I use scroll button a lot to free look and can never level out as you can after logging in.

Tip: The "recenter camera" keybinding (numpad 5 by the classic defaults) will zero out your fly tilt.
You can get anything you want in life -- just make a lot of noise and bite the right people.

Hah, awesome. Don't think I ever tried using 5 since 8 and 2 didn't help elevation.

Nice idea. Even if it was just adding the altitude to the existing compass w/ co-ords would be nice. Then we could figure out if we were flying level by watching the altitude.

A very basic pitch indicator could be gained by taking a delta of your height each time your coordinate is updated, this would give you a +/- value of how fast you're ascending or descending.
