ummm, how do i attune to the floating island? do i have to do the fall of tazoon questline?

There are two dragons in a lair beside New Rach. They teach dragons how to make disks. Inside this lair, further down, is a portal to floating island. A small hatchling there will attune you. The lair is in desert area just above and west of NR. Hope this helps.

thanks slimey, i did find the portal in the cave, but no one there would attune me and i couldn't use the portal. i was a bit tired when i was doing it last night, and i may have missed something. the wiki page said battlemaster what's his name in the imperial army camp was the attuner, but he had nothing to say to mourningwood either when i got there......

I think there is a quest associated with the portal now. I believe that dragon at Army Camp gives it to you now. Been a while for me. Look up the quest about the floating island on Lexica. Hope you find it.

i tried speaking to him but he had nothing to say. i am wondering if you have to take the fall of tazoon questline to get to it. i can't do my rop without getting to the floating island and speaking to vladmordt.actually, a closer look reveals a long but doable run (as part of my exploration was attuning to heather) from heather to the cave thru long walk. so i will try that tomorrow.

Oh my YES. There is a road right up to his lair. Before you become an adult, he offers to make you a good scale. There used to be several, but he will no longer offer these scales after your ROP.
