Woo hoo!! After 567 days... I have arrived!

As of 4:15PM EDT I have achieved level 100 SpiritDisciple!

Thanks to all the folks out there who helped this lowly Gatherer arrive at this pinnicle of Adventuring this year and a half later! Hahaha... And to the unnamed level 16 Sslik warrior who took it upon himself to protect this pittiful level 25 (at the time) Ice Disciple from the Strawblights (18-23) outside the Ssalanis Elm on Bounty and inspired me to reach for the heights of Martial Prowress.

Guinness, the handwraps are holding up GREAT! :D

And for those that want a bit of amusement, Hratli soloed Mhedon as a spirit disciple a few days prior to hitting 100. That's pretty fookin' impressive considering mhedon can't be stunned.

The main reason I even got this far was so I could move onto Mithril with less fear! [:P]

And for those that want a bit of amusement, Hratli soloed Mhedon as a spirit disciple a few days prior to hitting 100. That's pretty fookin' impressive considering mhedon can't be stunned.

Tips for those taking Mhedon:

[:D] Mhedon just happens to play into a monk's strengths. Slow, SINGLE attacker, with a few 'big' attacks. Just need the right tactics, careful timing, and a pair of Guinness's "Parry Like a Fool Handwraps". The hardest part is timing the Avalanche, and backing off to allow Foresight to recycle if it has not already (you need to back off an attack or 2 before you think it will recycle due to combat queue lag), and being ready for the heals if the Golem Smash XXI lands just before or just after. For those running, make sure you can survive a 'Hurled chunk' it recycles at about the same pace and backing off will 'trigger' it.

The rest is just watching those 40-50pt punches eat away at him between the Chain attacks. Anyone who does a lot more damage/attack or has better armour should have an easier time ;) I was just hanging on by the skin of my teeth for the last minute. I had less than 450 hit points, which was less than one hit the whole time. A hit in my leathers does about 550pts of damage [:|]

EDIT: Hehe... before anyone screams to nerf the overpowered disciples (hahaha).1 Mithril golem and I will come out at full health. 2 mithrils at the same time (even the low level 90's ones) and it's even odds who survives ;) Monks seem geared for single attackers (Our survivability is keyed entirely on Dodge/Parry). We get eaten up by anything other than the primary target, which makes hunting with a party a VERY dangerous prospect with the crazy aggro.

To me, mhedon is the perfect example of a "kill it really fast or you're dead" type of mob. Melee damage seems the most effective if you can dish it out in good numbers, whereas thistleface is quite a bit tougher using that strategy.

We go to the fire opals and I'm all decked out in my plate and big two-hander, while he shows up in his jumpsuit with a pair of boxing gloves, fixin' to beat some ******, old school.
