HELP patcher broke

so i went and finally turned off bypass patcher today and did patched after most of the cache was downloaded the patcher had critical error and closed. now ever time i hit play I get i get critical error right away

and im on windows XP

Fixed i was directed by a friend to dump cache and use the old patcher in istaria folder it crashed a few times but on 6th re try it went through and patched and im in game now

So for the first time in... years? not sure... I logged onto Chaos today, trying to find someone. That login went fine, but when I got out and tried to get onto Order again, I got error messages to send to Microsoft. Based on this thread I'm trying the old patcher now... :-/

edit: yes I did log out & back in and then try rebooting before I got to this point, those did not help, I'm hoping this thread suggestion does.

Still not working. The file loading seems stuck with no progress at

but the patcher proceeds to the next screens, continuing up to initializing engine before the Microsoft error message appears.

Time for support ticket I guess. *sigh*

I was on Chaos too, yesterday.
Will try Order as soon as I am back from work.
