I'm in Order shard and I try to do the quest Prove Gangaf is innocent, that quest ask to get the intact mainboard to automatons, I have kill that but i not see any Mainboard

I vaguely recall having to get a certain level of automaton, only found within the walls of Old Rachival, to have a chance to get that comp as a drop.

Correct, the quest only works on Degraded Automatons which are located in Old Rachival. To be clear, the quest already tells you to go back to Old Rachival for them and there is only one type of Automaton in there so I'm not sure what the confusion might be. However, I'll add some additional clarification in the quest to specify "Degraded" Automatons.
