In general, the rule of thumb seems to be trainers, non-quest NPCs, and everytown NPCs. ATM I haven't gone out beyond the Festival Grounds on this, but New Tris seems to bear out on this on Blight.

ok well I went to everyone on BOTH yours lists (there are some on each list the other doesn't have, they all give out candy though), and no quest ending/reward when I returned.

So either there's no other quest than to trade the candy in for masks (no Emblem or other reward), or there are NPCs noone's found and posted about yet...

*sigh* what a waste of three hours

Pretty sure that's the case Frith...the same as last year. Don't feel bad though...last year I went to every city three times total...took a little while. ;)

Nope, the trick-or-treating quest is just to get candy from NPCs. There's no goal other than that.

I did have some fun talking to NPCs I haven't talked with in a long time, and found some new quests that I didn't know about. So, indirectly, it had little bonus.

I really miss the outlying NPCs that used to out in beta. There were some scattered around the world out in the boonies, like in the ice corridor between Augh and Kira, and on the ice floe north of Mahagra. It would have been even cooler if the further out you searched, the more and greater value candy you get.

Also, none of the Festival NPCs will give you hard candy for trick-or-treating. Only special mob drops and old NPCs on my list above will have a chance of dropping hard candy, which is required fuel for the skeleton costumes.

ok well then someone went and lied and was mean making me think there was an Emblem Reward for doing the quest...

On the general forums someome posted that we get a "Master Trick or Treater" if we completed the quest, which was the ONLY reason I was doing the whole thing..

If I just wanted candy I coudl have "harvested" the NPCs around the area *sigh* and saved some copper for the lair..

dangit, that wasn't a very nice statement they made...
