yes the light show is much bigger than for Adult - if you stand back aways its HUGE!

And I already have one report of someone who was newly ascended, being asked if they were Adult or Ancient from a biped somewhere else....*chuckles* they were quite irked.

Oh, and FYI - you can Ascend ANYWHERE right now. I watched a dragon's Ancienthood bestowed upon him on the Ridge in Aiya - which was really cool.

I really hope if its a bug, they leave it. I'd much rather Ascend somewhere where I won't crash, and can have friends there to watch. And I'd be able to attend other's ascensions more easily if they aren't held around the Ancient Lair.

I think its pretty cool myself.

Please don't fix it if its a bug.

Nope. When you hit ancient you stay the exact same color as you were at adult.

There's a bug in the change that appears in the pictures. It affects the color and headstyle whenever a Dragon model changes. We call it the "Khutit bug", because that is when most people see it normally.

Basically there are two models/skins being shown, your correct one, and the brown placeholder one, which has the default finned/crested head.

The bug has been around forever.

First ancient dragons on Unity are out! Due to a slight mixup, two dragons used the wrong rune and ended up back in the Rift instead... the third picture is from their second go at the Ascension.[:)]

Well, I did Fraps it but kind of goofed because it didn't get the whole thing. I forgot there was a delay and it only records 30 seconds so I missed the end. I'll figure out how to get it on my website and will post what I got.

I haven't taken any still screenies yet of afterwards (just have the ones from Blight) but I can definitely tell the difference from standing next to Adult dragons, I don't know why anyone else can.
