How Do I Change the Launcher Skin?

I fear I am way too clueless about all things technological to have deciphered how to change the default launcher layout to one of the winners of the launcher skin contest. I've saved the pictures of the skins to a folder, tried clicking on Load Layout, then selecting the picture, then clicking Save Layout. But no joy alas.

So would someone far more technologically advanced than I please give me a step-by-step walkthrough of how to use and save the launcher skins by the contest winners?

There are two files for each laucher skin. One is a .bmp, the other is a .txt. Copy both these files into the laucher folder in your Horizons folder. It'll ask if you want to replace the files already there. Click yes or no (no, if you want to copy out the current launcher skin). Then start up the launcher.
