Thread: Trying to turn stuff back ON

Default Trying to turn stuff back ON

    This is rather embarrassing.

Long, long ago, back when Democrats ruled the earth-- well no, maybe not THAT long ago-- I found myself forced to figure out a way to turn off certain features in the user interface: road signs, the layout diagrams on user plots, even the nifty rotating object image in some items' detail window. All of them would cause a CTD after a short period of play. Well, I figured out a way(s) to turn them off, and wrote down what I did.

Now, quite awhile later, I have new software, drivers, etc, and I would like to turn those features back on.

    But my notes have disappeared.

....And the Support staff are saying "ummmm...."
    [:(]

Would someone please rescue me from my own idiocy?

    Thanks.

Easiest way would be to delete your prefs and have defaults auto-generated.

all instances of clientprefs_main.def and clientprefs_graphic.def are the ones you should delete.

    Yup; that worked.

    Thanks.
