i am gonna make an account for this game since i bought it but my friend said that they sold off the land so only the people who bought it could train on it can u tell me if that is true or not ty

Let's make sense of this. Do you mean you bought the game off a former player and that player owned a plot which has since been reclaimed by Tulga and sold off? If this is the case, then the plot of land is under new ownership now and you have no claim to it.

Welcome to Istaria. Land is still for sale all across the empire. I'm not sure about what you mean by training, since all the trainers are located in the different racial towns. You can build whatever structures you want on land you purchase, as long as it all fits.

what i mean is did the company of horizons sell chunks of land for personal use of only them like only they can go there to fight the monsters but like other people cant come unless they say...thats what my friend said and im not talking about a guild plot

I dunno where your friend heard that, but that's not the case, nor has ever been, nor ever will be. Monsters roam where they please (or at least where the devs tell them to), and the only land available for sale is in designated communities where you may build a house or guildhouse or shop. Most of these communities are monster-free, unless attacked in a WM-run event.

aslo this big patch thing is going on and i was wondering that if i really have to do it i made an acc for it then it said it wasnt dled so then i went in there and did download and now it is doing this big huge honking patch that needs to get out of like 3500 file uploaded mine is at 382/3500 must i do this or no? plz say no it'll take forever.

Unfortunately, it does need to do this. Fortunately, it doesn't need to do this every day. All the patching you're getting right now is to get your computer updated with the current files for the game. Once that's done, you will be left with only whatever patches come out when they come out.
