invisible mode means that you can not be searched for using game interface if you are in a chat you will still be visible to people but they can not send you tells its is accomplished by clicking on yourfriends list and clicking on the icon and selecting invisible to all selection
Given enough time and the proper temperament anything doable in game is possible

Find the HorizonsLauncher.exe and make a shortcut to it.

    "C:\Program Files\Artifact Entertainment\Horizons\HorizonsLauncher.exe"

To be invisible means that you will not show up on a player search or on anyone's player lists.
You will show up as online in your guild manager.
All tells sent to you will still go through.

Noticed that thread starter is from Sweden so I assume playing on Unity. Unity does not have the stand alone launcher that the NA shards have access to. I believe there are ways of bypassing IE, but I personally dont know them.
Give Unity the support it deserves!

There was a thread in the player customization forum about making a .bat file to launch the game, but you'd still need IE to patch.

    Open People List.
At the top is a button that has lines on it. That is your options.
There you will see Visible to All, Visible to a Few, Visible to None, etc
When you are in Visible to None, ie Invisible, people will still see your character in game, and in chat rooms, and in your guild roster. However, when people do a /who search for you, you will appear offline and you will not appear in anyone's People Lists. Also, you will still receive tells in invisible mode.

    Hope this helps. :)
