I've been unofficially thinking about skeletal dragons for a while now and seeing if I can figure out how to make one without making the geometry too complex.

I don't have too much knowledge about this, but the only other place I have seen skeletons and dragons in an mmo is WoW. Its designers really squeeze every last bit of detail out of the number of allotted polygons in a model.

Player's skeletons that are left on the ground when they die are greatly simplified but still recognizable, with the ribcage being the most polygonally complex--it's actual sections, whereas much of the rest of the model uses textures in place of a higher polygon count.
There's also a player costume that is well animated:

The same goes for the skeletal dragons.

Haha, i've been trying to make a 3d skeletal dragon in 3ds max at my school..I keeping using too many polys and it crashes :S
