    Default Travel Runes

    Travel Runes would allow a character to teleport directly to any town with a gatekeeper. These could go into a sort of rune book. It would solve many lag issues caused by having to travel through densely populated, or known lag causing areas.

    Each gatekeeper could provide a quest for travel runes (eg: 5 spell shards and 5 essence orbs). Depending on the location, the tier of the runes would increase (T1 regions could require sandstone spell shards/dim essence orbs and so forth, through T5).
    I never met a gnome I didn't like. For tender morsels they are!

    Think this is in some form on the Big Pony List. See my thread about builable portals.

    My remarks:
    Altough an nice idea. I think that porting from anywhere to anywhere is a bit to much.
    Maybe a good idea would be to have 2 or 3 shrines where you can recall too. Would be ideal for crafters. Port to shrine of location of goods to harvest, recall to shrine nearest to machine or plot.
