Hot Key Modification
Heya Devs. Is there any reason why the following could not be implemented:
1) In the 'Gem' pulldown menu, when you click on 'Hotkeys', instead of creating a new menu, have it open a window which displays the existing hotkey bars from left to right across the window with current icons.
2) Enable 'Drag-and-Drop' from one bar/box to another. One could drag new content to any bar by having the knowledge or ability windows open at the same time as they are now.
3) Have a spare bar available simply as a 'holding' bar while icons are being 'rearranged'. Any icons left in this area when this window is saved/closed are simply deleted.
4) Have a button in this window which allows the creation of a new bar. You could have the new bars assume certain preset 'default' postions on screen after exitting this window. They can then be manually positioned as they are now.
5) Have the usual SAVE and CANCEL buttons available to update and save or discard the modifications. This would allow the client up update the hotkey prefs/icons in one move.
6) If ambitious, perhaps you could also implement the ability to save this particular SET of hotkey bars. Many people now use more than one set, depending on which school they're playing. This forces a relog/restart, and the use of manual drag and drop or batchfile sets of files. Could these sets be saved/loaded on the fly from within the client without unduly disrupting things?
Anyway, I've given this much consideration and am convinced it would be welcomed by nearly everyone.
