I usually show up a day or two. I've a number of online comics I support (Bill Holbrook, Illiad, Pete Abrams, Daryl Cagle, Jim Tooney etc..) and they show up there many times. I know Bill does, he lives not far from this con. I've even gotten to appear in one of his comics.

Hah. You can volunteer for security or something, 20 hours of service during the 4 days gets you a full pass, AND you get to have a cool security ribbon and see how things like this are run

And as for a hotel, who sleeps at a Con anyways?

Hey I SLEEP at the CONS! I have to, or else I"d not get to do anything all day for the sleepy...

But due to fundage issues, I won't be able to make it this year *sigh*...

And even if you don't sleep, you still need a room to put your stuff in - I don't want to chill on hotel couches for three days .
