Hey Map Pack makers, here is an idea for you to add to the map packs.

How about a breadcrumb navigation mode? From Grimm’s fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel. Hansel left a trail of breadcrumbs through the woods as a strategy to find his way back home.

The user can turn it on when they want to retrace their steps. The map mod would drop little markers on the map every few seconds until it was turned off.

The mappack is already *incredibly* slow and burdening when you try to open it, to the point it hangs the game for 2-5 seconds upon hitting the "M" key. I would shudder to think of what this sort of thing would do to not only the Mappack's performance, but Horizons' overall performance (which isn't stellar already).

The idea is good, but I fear the other problems its implementation would cause...

Yeah, the mappack is so horrendously slow that I really want to remove, rather than add markers to it. Many of them are outdated anyway, I just want to be able to right click and delete them.
