We've been running emergency maintenance on the website since late yesterday afternoon and have brought the site back up.
If you are unable to use the website, or want a quick way to log in once you've chosen your character, try using this workaround:
1.) Right click the ClientPrefs_launch.def file, which is located in the Horizons/Pref folder, then open it with notepad or wordpad.
2.)Change the first line from
bool requireCommandLineParams = true
to
bool requireCommandLineParams = false
then edit the following lines:
string userName = "********"
string password = "********"
replace the "*********"'s with your own account email (or username) and password, like this:
Back up one level to the C:\Program Files\Tulga Games\Horizons or C:\Program Files\Artifact Games\Horizons folder, locate horizons.exe, and double click, or run the horizons.exe
This will log you in as the character last played on that computer.
