Housebuilders Union?

Having some common basis for pricing is cool and I'm in for now. But the minute I hear union members have started flaming someone who wants to work cheaper I'm off too.

The Union prices are just there for a builder to know, what might be reasonable to charge.
It's far more easier for a builder (even new) if someone is asking for construction work and both sides know a little bit what might be charged.

If someone wants to work for free, why not. If I count right: There are ~1000 players which will maybe own a plot soon.
This means we will have ~3000 buildings in the next months to build.

So - noone who works for free is going to "ruin" the bizz for the rest. There will be enough work for all of us.

Also: As a lot of other people said. There are a dozen of things you can exchange your work for other than money.

- need a few levels in ADV or a group to hunt? Maybe the plot-owner happens to be a high-level who can take you in party for an afternoon.
- need construction work in exchange? slate for kenaf, cotton for oak
- need a new armor? maybe I built the Silken stuff and get it made for free?

You'll see. Even if plot owners got no money they might have enough stuff to trade in for our work.

Still the Union idea for a general guideline is very very good.

Sidenote: I guess the new amount of high-level weavers is a direct result of bored LVL 100 tailors who can (due to Yew Tannin) level their weaver in lightspeed.
Before the patch we were stuck to Maple / Silkand Silk not being so easy as it is now.
So: Wait until I get my Yew Tannin Form! And I'll be higher weaver soon, too :))

Sidenote 2: I am looking forward to the building! Cotton will be sooo nice to do!

People are unsure what to charge. Some charges are incredibly high.
Some payers pay a fair amount above the prices.

Still... if you want to calculate for your plot. here is your information resource.

With the current prices,a mithril armor (12 pieces) with weapon would be around 650s

I wanna compare your expenses to get your forms and techs to the one i need.

No offence dvergar, but that is not a comparission.

And Vanaondo i'm more then happy to lower my prices when Adventurers stop charging me 2 Gold for a tech...

With my disc and bulk, I get ca, 1500 bricks per trip. Thats (with max efficiency) a total of 100 marble blocks, thats 50 units at best. paid at 5s each, that makes 550s. The same trip with mithril gives you how many weapons/armors? Lets say 15 bars per item, thats 100 weapons/armor, ALL of which you can sell for 25-50s each. For one full order (armor and weapon), you need a single disc. For a housebuilding job, you got any idea how much running, dragging and gating is involved? It's the time you pay when you have a housebuilder doing the job. Not some rare form.

And yes, we need less forms and techs to get our business started. Nonetheless, I spent already around 600-800 silver on expert and master stone forms.

And its not only the adventurers charging silly amounts for techs/forms, but also other crafters *offering* theseprices to buy them. Just watch the market, and you'll all the time see ppl offering 2-3 gold per single tech 5 (especially armor 5). If they get that much money by selling the teched item for 100s a piece, it's no suprise they can offer that much. So far, I sold aroundseven t5 tools. Thats FAR from covering any costs I had to purchasemy forms. Maybe I should start charging an arm and a leg as well [:S]

Where is this figure of 25-35s for armour pieces coming from? I already posted I charge 8s for lvl 81 armour, 9s for lvl 91 armour. Regardless of how many tier V techs or dyes added my price remains the same. If you paying more than that you are being robbed! Gimme a tell in game if you would like some new mithril armour at a reasonable price [;)]

My prices are known to most of the ppl on unity..

I charge 40s for AU 810 dyed and triple teched T5
and 50s for AU 910 dyed and triple teched per piece.

I have spent 27 gold on forms and techs so far and 7 gold from 2 friends too.
I have the most important techs ingame and i'm missing only Speed V, Focus V and 1HC V

If you wanna call me a robber thats your business, but if ya'll can spend 2.5G on the vielo for the drops then don't expect me to give my armor away for free. certainly not after all the time and money i invested for reaching where i am today.

Don't like my prices, go elsewere or lvl a armorer and get the forms and techs yourself.

I've never done fitting work for hire although I am 2.1 on mith joinings now.
I did do it for our guild plot, and it was time consuming but not terrible, although I would hate to do all the runs solo.
I am unsure what the 'right' price is for mithril work, but I can make good money from PB runs as a fitter anyway.

As an armourer, I've made ALOT of armour, right now I've started working on my tier V techs and am getting close to having all the needed ones (Like theres alot of craft techs happening in the metal armour world). Getting the techs as an armourer is a nightmare, and they have SO SO SO many forms too.I usualy though just charge non-guildies a donation for my work. I'm not in competition with anyone for customers, the same people come back to me time and time again, although less now as I'm lagging behnd the 'masters' in techs a little. But in time I'll get them all.

I think a standard pick up price for work is a good idea, I usualy ask somone I know in game to do work, and ask for a quote for the whole job, if it seems fair (ie it would be easier to make that cash in the time than it would be to do the job) then they get the job, and offer bonus for rapid work.

Just relax... although I admit I'm almost TOO relaxed sometimes :)

Well i have many (around10.000 total) novian resources still in my vault.
The resources range from tier 1-3. Ill Make a post in market later on when i'm home (and can see what i got). I want to trade them for other material/service.
Sayyou need a tier 1sandstone keystoneunit and i needa tier 4obsidiankeystone unit applied to my plot then i would trade 4 of my novian sandstone keystoneagainst 1 unit of obsidiankeystone applied on my plot.
(Think its a fair dealbecause its nicer for a high lvl msn to do my 100 obs units xp and time wise then that he/she needs to do 400 sand units on his plot)

Who can make Adamantium Construction sheetings, radiant essence construction spheres, steelsilk tapestries, travertine blocks and I forget the name of the other one, Thornwood? Come on own up you know you want to do it for free so that you get the practice :P.

Skill rating on most of material is either 1000 or 1100. lol

*Sigh* Time to start levelling enchanter I think.

lvl 100 Enchanter or 150+ gold to build it, hmmm I know which is easier option lol.

p.s. I have a long-term account so it's not like it gets built and then disappears after a week, :P

I can make marble bricks and shining orbs if that helps. :)

I think we should stick to a +150 % price and -20 % price from the normal (i think) prices i've discovered on this link http://hz.warcry.com/index.php/content/compendium/ .... It has lots of prices for varius things (spells/weapons/resources, and more) ... tell me what you think
