Thread: Why?

  1. #1

    Default Why?

why do i feel like **** every time i log into horizons?

why is it that i see my guildmates having fun in the guild chat and my mood only gets worse?

why does the absence of one friend (whom i hardly knew to begin) with over so long a period effect me so badly?

why is it that the later the clock turns, the more depressed i get?

why is it that the earlier the clock turns, the more cynical i get?

why do i want to curl up in a ball and pretend the universe does not exist?

    why?

You seem to be very pessimistic. Try optimism?

Only you know the real answer, though sometimes finding it requires you to make an admission to yourself that you're not comfortable making.

Realize that you get out what you put in... and don't take things so seriously!

My wife was like that for quite some time, and getting worse. The day she dropped a stitch in her knitting and started to talk about suicide as a result, however, she realized something was seriously wrong and went for help.

It turned out she was in the early stages of clinical depression. Fortunately it was caught in time, before she went and did something permanent.

Maybe you might want to check on this? Just to eliminate the possibility?

Wow, dropping a stitch and suicide is a bit more than early.. means your wife was a very strong woman to manage her thoughts that far.

I have found though that depression is either chemical, social, or college-credit related. Change one or more of the applicable 3 and you end up okay.

As for the rest, I know to me at least logging in is like stepping backwards 3 years in time. There are people who are not online who will never be online again who I will miss terribly in that setting even though I could call them on the phone or catch them elsewhere. IT's just a matter of adjusting perspective.
