    Default New Spell Idea: Cleanse Land

    Cleanse Land: Lv. 100 druid spell; 5m cast time
    This spell, cast by druid or possibly dragon (druid makes most sense) would clense blight off an area of land. Of course, it would aggro any blight mobs within a large area. They already have the simulation for a creature to "blight" land where it walks, how hard must it be for them to "unblight" it?
    Use this in combination with the walking blight effect, and it could seem like a constant battle to maintain the absence of blight.
    Groups could work together to defend the druid as he casts the spell which would have like a five minute casting time. This allows there to be a battle over whether he gets it cast or not (Possibly even have the spell trigger a local spawn of local mobs) Would make the game more interractive, and actually interresting as players try to work together to clear out blighted lands.

    Just an Idea;
    Whaddya Think?

    Does it stay Un-blighted forever?

    If so, then the playerbase -would- eventually clear out all of the blight, and then the game would have no reason for existing, as the Blight and the Withered Aegis is the game's only real antagonist, and most of the entire reason we are playing in the first place.

    However, what we COULD do, is add some cool NPCs in some newly-built town (or use an existing town nobody builds in) and add a variable blight/un-blight. As players clear the town out, NPCs spawn there that can do cool things (quests, sell awesome items, etc).

    Maybe the Aegis would periodically (like once every 6 RL hours) send out "raiding parties" to raid this town. If the mobs successfully kill off all of the guards (who would probably have a pretty high rating and nice equipment to give them a standing chance), the town gets re-blighted, the NPCs disappear, and strong mobs wander the area now.

    The Guards would be able to hold off the attack for awhile, but the guards would never be strong enough to win without some player support. If players come in, and drive off the attack, the town stays un-blighted, and the shop/quest/etc NPCs will remain.

    If the town gets blighted, then this new unblight spell would be the way to unblight the town. You go in, kill as many mobs as you can, get the druid(s) to the center of town (there'd be, like, a runic circle or something of the sort there), where he's gotta stand to cast the spell. If the druid finishes the spell before he dies (the spell would be very long casting, like 10min+), the town gets unblighted, and NPCs appear.

    I'ld say a slow reblight should be possible, increasing in speed the closer you get to blight centers (like the crystal thingamajigs and whatnot) Although, add in more of the blighters and it would balance out.
    At this point, I really don't see our playerbase (what 40 on at a time?) clearing out anything at any great speed.

    The problem is they don't have the ability to blight and unblight land, they can have mobs with a blight atmosphere attached to them, but the land itself can not be changed.

    If players can fight one way, then the mobs can fight back. That always has to happen as well.
