What stats affect crossbow? Str? Dex? I appreciate any help.

From what I can tell by the information at Gamersinfo.net it's straight-up Dexterity, same as the standard bows.

Dex will help the crossbow skill the most, however strength still affects your damage more than anything else.

It adds to both, but strength (or power, for spells) adds 50% more.

Dexterity is the main for any bow class, strength do assist to but dexterity is the main thing to have.

Well, you're right and you're wrong. Here's how it breaks down for a bowman:

10% of dexterity adds to skill, so if you have 1000 dex, you get +100 bow/xbow skill.
Skill/75 adds to your damage output, so this would then become 100/75 = 1.33~ damage from dex alone.

Strength/50 adds to any weapon damage output - yes, even bows, that's how the game works. So if you had 1000 strength that would be 20 damage from strength.

Of course, in order to do any damage at all, you need to land your hits first, and that's where dex comes in handy. In other words, for a ranged class both dex and str are very important.
