Remote server down for Login? (fixed)

Both the webpage link, horizons.exe and the patcher are failing with 'the remote server is down.' Wondering if it is just me, or if others are seeing the same. I'm not having any other internet issues as far as I have been able to test.

I got booted off earlier, and got back on, usually first sign of trouble, when it gives you the "lost communication with servers" error, even though it let me back on, I was starting to wonder when I checked my DSL modem lights (which were all good and green) and my net connection (websites loaded fine).

I stopped playing earlier, though, just saying... kinda figured something was gonna go down soon.

This is not my night, first my modem won't boot up and my ISP tells me that it needs an engineer call - which won't be until next Wednesday (early hours of Thursday atm). All of a sudden the modem works and I sit down with a coffee ready to play....and I can't log in

My guess is they saw the poor members with plots that don't work from yesterday and decided to fix them on the spot? Eh? I applaud that if that's what's happening, even though my plot wasn't one of them.

I tried the standalone and it says it's outdated and tries to update and then hangs during the silentpatcher. So nothing is working for me either.

The host at horizons.istaria.com appears to be down. The launcher talks to the same host, so it won't work either. :/

You can probably get in using a .bat file launcher or by completly bypassing it using the instructions here: http://bristugo.com/node/113

We're still working on the issue - it's a hardware problem and the facility remote hands are investigating.

Perhaps the cleaning crew could use a different plug-in than the one the server is using.
