Thread: Help with Silo Permissions

    Default Help with Silo Permissions

I have a consigner and some silos that are set to "Guild only". I have someone wanting to help gather resources for some work that I'm going to do for him but he's not in my guild. I want to add him to have access to the Consigner and silos to store the stuff he is gathering. Is there a way I can keep the connie/silos guild only, but add access for him as well?

I've heard people talking about adding individuals to a consigner access, but how do you do that?

To my knowledge support for individual people is not in place yet.

There's the "friends" list access, but you can't use it at the same time as guild access. Meaning you have to add each guildie to the access list manually - for every structure you use this mode on. It would really be nice if you could link this access mode to you actual friends list. (IE importing a group, etc.)

If you have your guildmates on a player list (to show who's online), you can drag and drop the entire folder (or folders) into your friends list for your plot, so you don't have to type all the names.

You can? Well, neaterino! I had no idea of that.

Ok, so what I have to do is set the silo to "friends only" and then put all guild members from my friends list in the list, along with the other person?

    What a pain

Actually what I think you will have to do is set the whole plot to "friends" then add your guild and the one other to the list. You can't set just one structure to friends I don't think.

    Plots and Structures 101

A plot has the following permissions, only one of which may be selected:
Allow all - anyone satisfies this restriction
Guild only - anyone in the owner's guild satisfies this restriction
Friends only - anyone on the owner's plot access list satisfies this restriction
Deny all - nobody but the owner satisfies this restriction

A structure/consigner/pawnbroker has the following permissions, only one of which may be selected:
Allow all - anyone satisfies this restriction
Guild only - anyone in the owner's guild satisfies this restriction
Deny all - nobody but the owner satisfies this restriction

In order for a player to be granted access to a structure (this includes trading with an NPC), BOTH restrictions must be satisfied: the plot and structure ones. That means that a silo set to "allow all" and a plot set to "deny all" will be completely inaccessable to everyone but the owner.
